15112 - From Naji al-Hadhrami: that he traveled with Ali (peace be upon him) who was the keeper of his purification. When he passed by Nineveh while on his way to Siffin, Ali called out: "Be patient, Abu Abdullah, be patient, Abu Abdullah, at the bank of the Euphrates." I said: "What is this about?" He replied: "I entered upon the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) one day, and behold, his eyes were shedding tears. I said: 'O Prophet of Allah, has someone made you angry? What is the matter with your eyes, that they are overflowing?'" He said: "No, rather Gabriel (peace be upon him) stood up from beside me before and informed me that Hussein will be killed at the bank of the Euphrates." He then said: "Would you like me to let you smell his soil?" I replied: "Yes." He extended his hand, cupped a handful of soil, and gave it to me. I could not help but have my eyes overflow as well." Ahmad, Abu Ya'li, al-Bazzar, and al-Tabarani narrated this, and their narrators are trustworthy. Naji was not the only one to mention this.

15116 - Umm Salamah reported: One day, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was sitting in my house and said, "No one is to enter upon me." So I waited, and then Husayn entered. I heard the sound of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) weeping. I looked out and saw Husayn in his lap, and the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) was wiping his forehead, both of them in tears. I said, "By Allah, I did not know when he entered." He replied, "Gabriel (peace be upon him) was with us in the house and said, 'Do you love him?'" I said, "In this world, yes." He said, "Your nation will kill him in a land called Karbala." Then Gabriel took some soil from it and showed it to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny). When Husayn was surrounded and killed, he said, "What is the name of this land?" They replied, "Karbala." He said, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth: Karb and Bala."

15121 - Abu al-Tufayl narrated that he said: A king of the heavens sought permission to greet the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) in the house of Umm Salama, and she replied, "No one is to enter upon us." Then Hussein ibn Ali (peace be upon him) came and entered. Umm Salama said, "It is Hussein." The Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said, "Let him be." He began to climb onto the neck of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) and play with him, while the angel looked on. The angel said, "Do you love him, O Muhammad?" He replied, "Aye, by Allah, I truly love him." The angel then said, "Indeed, your community will kill him, and if you wish, I can show you the place." He gestured with his hand and took a handful of earth. Umm Salama took the earth and tucked it into her scarf, and they used to believe that this earth was from Karbala. This was narrated by al-Tabarani, and its chain of narration is sound.
