Ibn Abi Asim - al-Ahad wa al-Mathani - and the Mention of al-Husayn ibn Ali (peace be upon them)

403 - (Elevated Hadith): Abu Bakr narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Ubayd narrated to me, saying: Sharhabil ibn Mudrik al-Ju'fi narrated to me from Abdullah ibn Najji, from his father, that he traveled with Ali (peace be upon him) who was the attendant of his purification. When he approached Ninawa while heading to Siffin, Ali called out: "Be patient, O Abu Abdullah, by the bank of the Euphrates." I said, "What is it, Abu Abdullah?" He replied: "I entered upon the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) while his eyes were overflowing with tears, and I said: O Messenger of Allah, what makes your eyes overflow? Has someone made you angry?" He said: "Rather, Gabriel (peace be upon him) stood up from me shortly before and informed me that Husayn ibn Ali would be killed by the bank of the Euphrates. He then said: 'Would you like me to show you some of his soil?' I said: 'Yes,' so he extended his hand, gathered a handful of soil, and gave it to me. I could not help but my eyes overflowed with tears."

404 - (Elevated Hadith): Abu Bakr narrated to us, saying: Ya'li ibn Ubayd narrated to us, from Musa al-Juhani, from Salih ibn Arbad al-Nakha'i, who said: Umm Salamah said: Al-Husayn ibn Ali entered upon the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny), and I looked and saw something in the hand of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) that he was turning over while he was lying on his stomach, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, I looked and saw you turning something over, and tears were streaming down your face." He said, "Indeed, Gabriel (peace be upon him) came to me with his soil on which he will be killed and informed me that my ummah will kill him."

405 - (Elevated Hadith): Fadl ibn Sahl al-A'raj narrated to us, saying: Muhammad ibn Khalid ibn Uthman narrated to us, saying: Musa ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, from Hashim ibn Hashim from Abdullah ibn Wahb that Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) lay down one day for a nap and woke up feeling weak in spirit. Then he lay down again, and he woke up with a handful of red soil, which he was turning over in his hand. Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Prophet of Allah, what is this soil? He said: Gabriel (peace be upon him) informed me that this will be used to kill al-Husayn in the land of Iraq. So I said, O Gabriel, show me the soil of the land where he will be killed, and this is it.....
