- Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed me by way of authorization that Abu al-Husayn Ahmad ibn Uthman ibn Yahya narrated to him, saying: Abu Ishma'il Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Sulami narrated to us, saying: Sa'id ibn Abi Maryam narrated to us. And Abu Abdur Rahman al-Sulami informed me that Abu Muhammad ibn Ziyad al-Sumudhi narrated to them, saying: Muhammad ibn Ishaq ibn Khuzayma narrated to us, saying: Ahmad ibn Abdullah ibn Abd al-Rahim al-Barqi narrated to us, saying: Sa'id, who is the son of al-Hakam ibn Abi Maryam, narrated to me, saying: Yahya ibn Ayub told me, saying: Ibn Ghaziya, which is Umara, narrated to me from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: Aisha had a chamber, and when the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) intended to meet Gabriel, he would meet him there. He ascended it once during such a meeting and instructed Aisha that no one should look in on them. He said that the head of the stair was in Aisha's room. Then Husayn ibn Ali entered, ascended, and she did not realize until he overwhelmed her. Gabriel said: "Who is this?" He replied: "My son." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) took him and placed him on his thigh.
Gabriel (peace be upon him) said: "He will be killed; your community will kill him." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his holy progeny) said: "My community?" He replied: "Yes, and if you wish, I can inform you of the land where he will be killed." And Gabriel (peace be upon him) pointed to al-Tuf in Iraq and took a handful of red soil, showing it to him. Thus, Yahya ibn Ayub narrated this from Umara ibn Ghaziya as an unconnected narration, and Ibrahim ibn Abi Yahya narrated it from Umara as a connected one, saying: From Muhammad ibn Ibrahim, from Abu Salamah, from Aisha.
